I believe this is Avranches Spring 1992! I know because I have a slight inside line as I wrote the French Run Report a few years later when I was Chairman and trying to ensure all runs were reported within living memory. My supporting evidence is that all the people mentioned in the report are visible in the pic (with the exception of Chairman Norman Hyde – did he take the picture?); several Members are wearing the Peter Sheen-issued arm bands; Tom Waterer was one of Peter’s assistants and is wearing the obligatory hi-vis waistcoat (not his normal garb); and I have a vague recollection that the hotel had a similar courtyard area.
